General Observation: A really pleasant across rolling fields with good views of Newmarket and beyond. Plenty of interest for the horse lovers as you pass through a number of world famous stables.
Walk Description
Locate Strollers way (near Marquis of Granby pub) and take footpath out of village and into open fields following the Stour Valley path
Cross Devil's Ditch and continue along Ickneild Way to Church Hall Farm continue along Icknield Way passing numerous beautifully kept paddocks!
Cross road to goes into Saxon Street and continue along FP. Take left along FP through Stables. Continue along until you come to road. Turn right and walk into Saxon Street.
Before pub, take FP on left leading to Parsonage Farm. Continue along FP to road and turn left
Road walk into Woodditton towards water tower. At sharp bend just before tower take FP towards Combers Wood. continue along FP until you meet road. Turn right.
Road walk until you reach FP on left and follow passing Basefield Wood until right turn onto Stour Valley Path
continue along passing Marmer's Wood, The Moats and through your final Stud until you reach road.
Turn left and roadswalk back through village to parking.
