The Fleam Dyke and Roman Road walk is a waymarked route incorporating two of Cambridgeshire’s ancient linear sites.
The walk passes through gently undulating countryside comprising chalk grassland, woodland, farmland and it skirts a number of attractive villages, a country park and a nature reserve. There are extensive views from some of the higher points.

The Icknield Way is unique among long distance tracks because it can claim to be "the oldest road in Britain". Extending from the Dorset coast to Norfolk, the ancient route of the Icknield Way consists of prehistoric pathways, old when the Romans came. Dotted with archaeological remains, it survives as splendid tracks and green lanes along the chalk "spine" of England.
Distance: 110 miles
The route is a figure-of-eight, starting in Harlow to Saffron Walden through the Bartlow Hills, Horseheath, the Fleam Dyke and Milton Country Park to Cambridge. Return passing along the Wimpole Way through Melbourn and Chrishall to Newport, and then on to Debden, Thaxted and Takeley before returning to Harlow at the end of the route.

The Stour Valley Path route follows the valley sides of the River Stour through the beautiful Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire countryside, including the Dedham Vale AONB.

Rothschild Way is a footpath extending to Woodwalton Fen from Wicken Fen in Cambridgeshire and commemorating the early wildlife conservation work of Charles Rothschild.
